Longevity
Human Resources > Workforce Administration > Search > Employee > Payroll Data
Since every employee does not receive longevity at pre-defined, time-based steps, use this section to award longevity at the employee level.
The grid in this section contains the basic details of an employee's longevity awards.
Each longevity earning corresponds to a row in the grid. The rows are sorted by Date Range, with "open" ranges appearing at the top.
The left side of the section header contains a New button. To add a longevity award, click this button. The Longevity Detail section opens below the grid, with fields available for entering data.
To edit a longevity award, click the edit icon
, located in the far-left cell of the appropriate row. The Longevity Detail section opens below the grid, with the appropriate data enabled for editing.
To delete a longevity award from the grid, click the delete icon
, located immediately to the left of the Date Rangecell in the appropriate row. A prompt asks you to confirm the delete.
The following table contains descriptions of the fields in the Longevity Detail section:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Start Date | Date the longevity award becomes effective. |
| End Date | Date the longevity award no longer applies. |
| Annual Amount | If the longevity amount is a one-time annual award, total dollar amount awarded. An entry in this field disables the Percent of Pay field. |
| Percent of Pay | Longevity award designated as a percentage of each pay. An entry in this field disables the Annual Amount field. |
| Last Used in Payroll | View-only date showing the last time the longevity for this employee was processed in a payroll. If a date appears here, only the End Date is editable. |
| Comments | Additional comments related to the longevity award. |
If you do not want to save your entries, click Cancel. If you are satisfied with your entries, click Save. The data updates, as does the grid.
