Inventory
Human Resources > Workforce Administration > Search > Employee > Personal
The grid in this section contains an employee's personal inventory data.
Each row in the grid corresponds to an inventory item assigned to the employee. The rows are sorted alphabetically by Inventory Type, beginning with the rows that do not show return dates and ending with the rows that show return dates. Return dates are sorted in descending order, from latest to earliest.
To add an inventory item, click the New button, located on the left side of the section header. The Inventory Detail section opens below the grid, with fields enabled for entry.
To edit an item, click the edit icon
, located in the far-left cell of the appropriate row. The Inventory Detail section opens below the grid, with fields enabled for entry.
To delete a row from the grid, click the delete icon
, located immediately to the left of the Inventory Type.
The following table contains descriptions of the fields in the Inventory Detail section:

| Inventory Type | Required. General type of inventory item. Click in the field to select from a list of valid entries. |
| Description | Complete description of the inventory item. |
| Issue Date | Date the inventory item was issued. Click in the field to select the date from a pop-up calendar. |
| Return Date | Date the inventory item was returned. Click in the field to select the date from a pop-up calendar. |
| Location | Tells where the inventory item is located, by code and description. Click in the field to select from a list of available locations. Locations are defined at Maintenance > new world ERP Suite > Miscellaneous Definitions > Locations. |
| Serial Number | Serial number of the inventory item. The entry may contain 32 characters. |
| Bar Code | Alphanumeric bar code identifying the inventory item. The entry may contain 32 characters. |
If you do not want to save your entries, click Cancel. If you are satisfied with your entries, click Save. The data updates, as does the grid.
To save your entries and clear the Inventory Detail section for the entry of another item, click Save/New.
To assign user rights to Inventory processing, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Maintenance > new world ERP Suite > Security > Users. The User List page opens.
- Select (highlight) the user to be given rights to Inventory processing.
- Click Permissions. The Permissions page for the selected user opens, showing a grid of application components.
- Click the Show Search link in the top-right corner of the page. The Component Name, Application and Company Name search fields display.
- In the Component Name field, type Workforce Administration Personal.
- Select the Human Resources Application.
- Click Search. The grid refreshes to show only the Workforce Administration Personal components.
- In the Workforce Administration Personal - Inventory row, select the appropriate processes to assign the user.
- Click Save.
- For the authorization to take effect, the user must sign off and sign on the system.
