Adopted Budget Entries in Project Journals

Adopted Budget has been added as an available Journal Type in Project Journals.

To see this option, you must be authorized in User-Based Security to the new Adopted Budget journal entry type for Project Accounting.

Navigate to Maintenance > new world ERP Suite > Security > User-Based Security.

From the Function dropdown, select Sub Ledgers. From the Ledger dropdown, select Project Accounting. An Adopted Budget column has been added to the journal entry types:

Give yourself permission to the appropriate functions by marking the corresponding checkboxes.

To select the Adopted Budget option from the Journal Type dropdown, navigate to Financial Management > Project Accounting > Project Journals, and click New:

After validating, approving and posting the project journal, navigate to Financial Management > Inquiries > Project Accounting > Projects.

Search for the project and select it.

In the Summary section on the General tab, Original Budget now displays in the Expenses and Revenue columns:

The General section shows the amended budget, which equals the adopted budget plus the amended budget:

The Budget to Actual tab also has an Amended Budget column:

These amounts display wherever budget amounts display.

On the Project Transaction Inquiry page, adopted budget (AB) has been added as a Journal Type, allowing you to filter the grid by adopted budget.

Navigate to Financial Management > Inquiries > Project Accounting > Project Transactions:

Mark the checkbox and click Search to reload the table with adopted budget amounts only:

On Project Accounting reports (Financial Management > Reports > Project Accounting), the adopted budget amounts are included in the Budget column:
