The Inventory Request workflow allows users to request disposable “central stores” inventory, such as pens and paper, for their use.

Setup

To use this page, the user must have departmental authority in Process Manager for Purchasing - Request Inventory. The user must also have Inventory Control Facility permissions.

List Page

The List page is displayed by default when you select the Inventory Request menu option. The list is sorted by Department, then order number. The columns display the following information:

  • The myTasks column displays a if the request represents a task for the user currently logged on to the system.
  • The Validated column displays a if the request has been checked to ensure that all the information entered is valid.
  • The Approvals column displays the current information about where the request is in the approval process (e.g., 0 of 1 at 2, where 0 is the number of approvals that exist for the current level, 1 is the number of approvals required at that level, and 2 is the current approval level. This value is a hyperlink; clicking on it launches the Approvals page for the current request.
  • The Department column displays the name of the department that made the request.
  • The Inventory Request column displays as a hyperlink the number assigned to the request. Clicking it launches the Inventory Request Entry page in Edit mode.
  • The Requestor column displays the name of the user who made the request.
  • The Need By Date column displays the date by which the user needs the inventory item(s).
  • The Total Amount column displays the total dollar amount of the items in the request.

The Inventory Request column is a hyperlink. Hovering on it launches a tooltip that displays information about the request. Clicking on it launches the Inventory Request Entry page in Edit mode.
