Set Up G/L Organization Components
The Organization Component page allows authorized users to set up the second component of the organization set of a general ledger account number.
To set up or edit the second component of the organization set of a general ledger account number, follow the steps below:
- Go to Maintenance > new world ERP Suite > Chart of Accounts > G/L Organization > Components.
- Click New to create a new organization code or click a hyperlink in the Code column in the list to edit an existing organization component. The Organization Component pop-up window opens.
- In Level, the organization department level is 2. The selection of values available is determined by the Primary and Secondary Levels settings on the Organization tab on the New World ERP Settings page (Maintenance > new world ERP Suite > System > New World ERP Settings). This drop-down list is disabled in EDIT mode.
- When you select a Level, it populates the Title field with the primary description. The title is based on the settings defined on the Organization tab on the New World ERP Settings page (Maintenance > new world ERP Suite > System > New World ERP Settings). The titles change based on the Level selected.
- In Code, type the department number, for example: 010.
- In Description, type the department name, for example: Legislative and Executive.
- Click Save/New to save the entry and add another organization component. Repeat the above steps 3-7 until all components are entered.
- When finished with the last entry, click Save to save the entry and close the pop-up window.
Click Print to print and review a listing of all organization component information entered. The listing is sent to myReports.
