Budget Billing Overview
Budget Billing gives the organization a means of allowing a customer to pay the same amount each billing cycle. The system calculates an average dollar amount from history to determine the budget bill amount. The advantage to the organization is that it makes cash flow and service to their customers more predictable. The advantage to the customer is to avoid having extremes in use of a particular service result in an unusually high bill. During billing cycles when consumption is low, the budget plan allows the customer to build up a credit that offsets the higher consumption cycles that may occur during the life of the plan.
