Budget Billing and Exception Bills
The Exception Bill print and export processes consider budget billing for exception bills that are not for move out situations. The bill and report presentation will reflect budget billing, not regular billing.
Billing Items Bill
The billing items exception bill is created for charges that are not meant to be part of regular billing. When a billing items exception bill is generated for an account on budget billing, the bill will present the billing item charges only; budget billing information will not be included.
Out of Cycle Bill
An out of cycle exception bill is generated in situations when information for the regular cycle bill is missing (e.g., reads are missing at the time the cycle bill is run for the account). This is assumed to be a delayed bill, but the system will treat it like a regular bill and will present the budget amount as the expected payment amount.
Final Bill
A final bill, created for a move out, is a bill for the true balance. The expected payment amount for the budget plan is not relevant in a move out situation.
Exception Bills Billing Register
Like the Billing Register, the Exception Billing Register includes a Balance Due column that displays the outstanding budget bill balance (budget bill amount plus any outstanding amounts in non-budgeted charge categories) in addition to the true amount due (Total Due column). If the balance due is based on budget billing, “BB” displays next to the amount This format shows the user why the true account balance is not being billed.
