Receipts Tab - Payoff

The Payoff section contains fields that define the balances that payments to the account should address.

1. The Penalties First check box, if selected, indicates that outstanding penalties should be paid off, oldest to newest, before bills or other balances. The checkbox is cleared by default.
2. If the Include Prior Customer Balance check box is selected, the system will first apply payments to the balance from prior customers. This is used for property liability utilities that are processing move outs. The check box is cleared by default.
