Workflow Tab - Billing Section

The Billing section allows the Utility to define which features of the billing process they want to see and use when they process utility bills.

  1. If the Use Non-Metered Entry check box is selected, the system will include a workflow attribute for non-metered consumption entry and will expect consumption to be entered for non-metered services (e.g., refuse, phone and Internet, etc).
  2. If the Use Non-Metered Audit check box is selected, the system will include a workflow attribute for non-metered consumption audits and will generate an audit for any non-metered service where the consumption value is outside of the expected range.
  3. If the Use Meter Audit check box is selected, the system will include a workflow attribute for meter audits and will generate an audit for any meter that shows consumption outside of the expected range. The audit is typically used.
  4. If the Use Billing Audit check box is selected, the system will include a workflow attribute for billing audits and will generate an audit for any calculated bill that shows a bill amount outside of the expected range.
  5. The billing register provides a means to review billing information for a specific billing cycle before the bills for that cycle are posted. If the Use Billing Register check box is selected, the system will include a workflow attribute for the billing register, and it will need to be run before the bills can be posted. The register is typically used.
  6. The export feature allows the utility to export the bills as a file that can be sent to a third-party printer to be produced. If the Use Bill Export check box is selected, the Print Bills workflow attribute contains an Export button. If this button is selected instead of the Print button, the bills will be printed to a file.
  7. If the Confirm Meter Audit Rejection check box is selected, a confirmation dialog displays when a meter audit is rejected.
  8. If the Confirm Non Metered Audit Rejection check box is selected, a confirmation dialog displays when a non-metered audit is rejected.
